Il sera convoqué par le Secrétaire général des Nations Unies, M. António Guterres, dans le cadre de la Décennie d’action pour réaliser les 17 Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) de l’Agenda 2030. En vue de ce Sommet, l’ONU invite ses Etats membres à mettre en œuvre des dialogues au niveau national sur les systèmes alimentaires. Suivant cette approche novatrice, les parties prenantes intéressées sont invitées à contribuer au Sommet en débattant de leur rôle dans les systèmes alimentaires, en réfléchissant à de nouvelles formes d’action à mener en commun, et en contribuant à l’établissement des systèmes alimentaires du futur. C’est dans ce cadre que la Suisse a décidé de lancer un dialogue multipartite national en trois étapes afin d’élaborer des voies vers des systèmes alimentaires durables d’ici à 2030. Le premier atelier offrira l’opportunité aux parties prenantes d’aborder les enjeux – défis, potentiel, mais aussi vulnérabilités – de leurs systèmes alimentaires dans des groupes de discussion et en session plénière, et il leur fournira une plateforme pour discuter d’actions concrètes soutenant la transformation des systèmes alimentaires en Suisse. Le deuxième atelier offrira l’opportunité de discuter des solutions possibles au niveau local pour cinq villes suisses. L’objectif est de fournir une plateforme aux principales parties prenantes des systèmes alimentaires dans les villes et les régions pour discuter et exprimer leurs idées sur la façon de renforcer la durabilité des systèmes alimentaires à leur niveau. Pour ce deuxième atelier axé sur les villes, trois dialogues sont organisés pour les villes de Bâle-Zürich, Lausanne-Genève et Bellinzone. Le dialogue pour les villes de Genève et Lausanne sera représentatif de la partie francophone de la Suisse. It will be convened by the UN Secretary General, Mr. António Guterres, as part of the Decade of Action to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. In preparation of this Summit, the UN invites its Member States to organize national Food Systems Summit Dialogues. Following this innovative approach, interested stakeholders are invited to contribute to the Summit by discussing their role in food systems, reflecting on new forms of joint action, and contributing to building the food systems of the future. Within this framework, Switzerland launches a three-stage national multi-stakeholder dialogue to shape pathways towards sustainable food systems by 2030. This first workshop will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to address the issues – challenges, potential, but also vulnerabilities – of their food systems in break-out group discussions and in plenary, and offer a platform to discuss concrete actions to support the transformation of food systems in Switzerland. The second workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss possible solutions at the local level for five Swiss cities. The objective is to provide a platform for key stakeholders of food systems in cities and regions to discuss and express their ideas on how to strengthen the sustainability of food systems at their level. For this second city-oriented workshop, three dialogues are organized for the cities of Basel-Zürich, Lausanne-Geneva and Bellinzona. The Dialogue for the cities of Geneva and Lausanne will be representative of the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
