Despite its high effort, still full realization of this priority is yet to be achieved effectively. Considering the priority, Nepal has taken the UN Food System Summit 2021 an important opportunity to examine existing food systems and to identify pathways for transforming the systems to make it equitable, sustainable and resilient and achieve the national priority. In line with this, National Planning Commission organized first National Food System dialogues on the theme “Nepal towards an equitable, resilient and sustainable food system” on 11 June 2021. Following this, Provincial Food System Dialogue is planned in Bagmati Province on 24 June 2021 with the same objective to look at the specific issues and generate dialogues at Province level. As in the National Dialogue, there will be six discussion topics in line with the five objectives of UN Food System Summit 2021 and policy environment.
