In a country where youth initiatives continuously shine in light of the pandemic’s impact to many facets of Filipino society, including food security, this year’s celebration of the IYD will showcase youth action, cull out concerns and issues of the youth regarding food and environment for the next set of leaders to address and show how engaging Filipino youth is not only important for the future, but also in the present In line with the global UN Food Systems Summit, the IYD’s theme for this year is “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health.” Proposed Objectives This event aims to: Showcase and highlight different youth initiatives related to food systems Promote Philippine UNCT work and program in relation to youth Contribute to national food systems discussions, as input of young people on the issues that leaders need to address Provide the youth an avenue for networking
