The United Nations in collaboration with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and other Development Partners advocates for a food systems transformation through a theme: Food Systems Transformation is Our Responsibility: Play Your Part! The main objective is to validate and consolidate the output received from eleven (11) independent/sub-national dialogues.

The former Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda will be the Guest of Honor at this event. Among dignitaries expected to take part are the Permanent Secretaries from Ministries of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (Mainland and Zanzibar), Parliamentarians, and Development Partners. Others will include academicians, food scientists and practitioners from Governments, business community, farmers and other stakeholders.

Mr. Obey Nkya, Senior Advisor- Food System Transformation, GAIN Tanzania and Juliana Muiruri, Head of Nutrition, WFP Tanzania Country Office will moderate the session.
