The first dialogue had the objective to initiate discussion around food systems transformation based on the initial findings of the Food Systems Assessment that was undertaken between April and June 2021 with support from FAO and the European Union.  A virtual national validation workshop was held on 21^st July, 2021 to mainly review the proposed recommendations from the assessment on food systems transformation in Zambia; obtain additional insights from various key stakeholders including Academia, researchers’, government line ministries at national and sub national, civil society organization and the UN agencies  on key sustainability questions and to provide inputs to the food system dialogue process at sub national and national levels.
