Descripción
The national independent dialogue on Food System Summit by Philippine Farmers and Fishers aims to:
a. Raise farmer awareness and elevate public discussion on how reforming our food systems can help us all to achieve the SDGs by implementing reforms that are good for people and planet.
b. Generate pro-farmer policy recommendation and significant action and measurable progress towards the 2030.
c. Agree on a system of follow-up and review to ensure that the recommendations generated at the national independent dialogue are considered by the national government.
Around 50 farmer leaders from different regions of the Philippines are expected to take part in this National Independent Dialogue on June 8, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
