As part of the 4 per 1000 Fair for EU Green Week 2021, Dr. Seng Vang (Director of the Department of Agricultural Land Resources Management of GDA), Mr. Rajiv Pradhan (Country Director of Swisscontact) and Dr Florent Tivet will present on-going activities under the Regional project Agroecology and Safe Food Systems Transition (ASSET) funded by AFD, EU and FFEM along with various initiatives funded among others by SDC and USAID that contribute to this overall dynamic of sustainable intensification and agroecology in Cambodia.

We will give a specific focus on soil Carbon management, presenting activities of knowledge production, education (Bos Khnor Center and CE SAIN’s Technology Parks), extension (Metkasekor), policy dialogue through the Cambodia Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC), and financial mechanisms to reward farmers who will invest into sustainable soil management.

These activities constitute a substantial commitment to promote environmentally responsible production techniques for agriculture in Cambodia.
