Description
For the Central Vietnam (19 provinces and centrally-run cities, starting from Thanh Hoa and extending to Binh Thuan province), agriculture is identified as one of key economic pillars. Along with policies to support and encourage units, organizations and businesses in agriculture, especially leading enterprises, agricultural production and processing is gradually accelerating, many results have been achieved, ushering in a new era in the development of modern and sustainable agriculture, building prosperous and civilized new countryside, improving the material and spiritual life of rural people.
However, the production and consumption of food and foodstuffs in the Central Viet Nam still have to cope with many difficulties and challenges. The Central Viet Nam is an area where extreme climate events often occur with high frequency, intensity and causing major impacts to vulnerable population. Especially in recent years, in the face of strong impacts of climate change, Central Viet Nam often suffers from many continuous storms, floods, severe landslides, prolonged and widespread drought, causing extensive damageto the crops and livelihood of the farmers.

Discussion topics:
- Current situation, issues, challenges and gaps need to be addressed related to the discussed Action Tracks
- Initiatives, solutions and actions within the discussed Action Tracks that Viet Nam should take to contribute to the Food Systems to foster rapid and lasting changes
