Description
On behalf of the Swiss Association for Cooperation on Food Education and Aceites El Tilo, a spanish based company and family farm producing olive oil, we are kindly inviting you to join our planned event, part of the latest initiative to support the current global dialogues around food systems and discussing potential solutions with an emphasis on food culture, culinary practice, health and climate along with researchers, food systems everyday heroes and interdisciplinary professionals. As a majority of the invited attendees of the launch event come from the Mediterranean region and taking this opportunity, it will be interesting to discuss the latest trends, signature products, flavours, but also current issues in the Mediterranean food systems and also share some recent evidence about a transferability of the Mediterranean concepts in the Non-Mediterranean regions.
What are the Objectives and Goals of the prepared Roundtable Sessions ?
– To build more awareness around production and consumption agricultural commodities (e.g. olives, olive oil, dairy, grains plant-based products, etc.) in the Mediterranean/non-Mediterranean regions
– To create a problem-solving discussion (part of the UN Food Systems Global Dialogues), exchange knowledge and information
-To create a universal language for interdisciplinary professionals to connect with smaller food systems actors, create translatable key messages and act upon
