The United States supports the UN Food Systems Summit and the goal of improving the sustainability and resilience of agriculture and food systems around the world. The Summit offers a unique opportunity to build cohesion around the goals of meeting the food and nutrition needs of current and future populations, while safeguarding and improving farmers’ livelihoods, creating jobs, conserving natural resources and biodiversity, and contributing to sustainable development across all three pillars: economic, social, and environmental.

USDA will serve as the convener for the U.S. National Food Systems Dialogues.  The Stage 1 Dialogue « Initiating National Engagement in the Summit » will initiate an inclusive process to identify food systems challenges from multiple perspectives.
