Description
« What can farmers do? » Farmer-Led, Science-Based Greenhouse Gas Mitigation: Strategies for Australia and Abroad
Register for the online event here.
The Crawford Fund together with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) are hosting this Dialogue to explore innovative practices making a difference.
Diverse stakeholders will come together to highlight exactly what farmers can do, and are doing, to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. These innovative practices are making a difference and provide strategies that could be implemented across Australia and around the world. Explore the program and speakers here.
The workshop is a key event coinciding with the Council meeting of the Global Research Alliance (GRA) on Greenhouse Gases in Agriculture, which is increasingly relevant to both global and national priorities as more importance is placed on global food security and the resilience of agricultural systems. Australia (represented by ACIAR) begins a one-year term as chair in March 2021, and hopes to strengthen collaboration in the GRA to promote sustainable agricultural production in the Indo-Pacific.
This hybrid event will allow some participants to meet together in Canberra, Australia, but the conversation is open to all. Join this global event to discuss the game-changing solutions that farmers are using to shape our food, climate, and environmental systems.
