Sierra Leone National Food Systems Dialogue - Building Consensus on the the Pathway to Attain Sustainable Access to Safe and Nutritious Food for All

The food system dialogue will be centered around  two of the global action tracks – Action track #1 – Ensure Access to Safe and Nutritious Food for all and Action Track #5 – Building Resilience to vulnerability, shocks, and stresses.  Ten thematic areas have been identified for the dialogue discussions to revolve around them as follows:

1. Access to finance
2. Access to inputs
3. Production Requirement
4. Processing
5. Marketing and Distribution
6. Consumption and Utilization
7. Food waste management
8. Policy development, enforcement, and coordination
9. Conflict and instability
10. Climate/Environmental extremes Economic shocks
11. Pandemics & agricultural negative impacts

Five sub-national dialogues were held as follows:

1. Western Region – 13th and 14th July 2021
2. Southern Region – 29th and 30th July, 2021
3. Eastern Region – 29th and 30th July, 2021
4. North Western Region – 29th and 30th July, 2021
5. Northern Region – 2nd and 3rd August 2021.
