الوصف
Extreme climate events have brought an estimated 166 million people in Acute Food Insecurity between 2015-2017. Climate change is projected to further increase undernutrition, stunting, and related childhood mortality, as well as dietary risk factors and related non-communicable diseases globally by 2050. This side event will bring-in a multi-disciplinary group of IPCC, research and UN experts to share research on the impacts of climate change on water, food security and nutrition, food safety and nutritional quality; adaptation options and opportunities for emission reductions of Transformative Food Systems. Special focus will be on the Small Islands States and indigenous peoples in coastal communities.
