The scientific-practical conference «Food and biological security in the Kyrgyz Republic: Challenges and prospects for increasing resilience to external impacts, shocks and stresses», will be organized in a frame of the Food Systems Summit on June 18, 2021 at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin in both offline and online format.

Scientists, postgraduates and students from more than 10 universities of Kyrgyzstan from Bishkek and regions will participate in the work of the scientific-practical conference. The initiator and organizer of the scientific-practical conference is the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin.

This conference will be organized as an independent dialogue of the academic community. It is one of the ongoing national and independent dialogues in the Kyrgyz Republic, which was initiated for active discussion by a wide range of interested groups of people and specialists, and for the formation of a national path for the development of sustainable food systems for the coming decades.

The main goal of the scientific-practical conference is to create a platform for active discussion of issues in the field of food and biological security at the level of the academic community, and to increase scientific awareness of researchers, postgraduates and students about global issues of food security and biological safety in the Kyrgyz Republic.
