The first multi-stakeholder National Dialogue aims to getting to a common understanding on UN Food Systems Summit, country dialogue process and “sustainable food systems.” While agreeing on the focus/theme and structure of the country dialogue the first Dialogue will start with introducing the Action Tracks of the Food Systems Summit as Discussion Topics which will be focused throughout the series of National Dialogue.

The structure of National Dialogue in Albania will be: Starting with the national-level Dialogue (online), there will be two subnational-level Dialogues (both online) to address 4 thematic issues (Discussion Topics), along with the Action Tracks, in 2 different areas (a) Lowland & Coastal area; (b) Mountain area as the challenges and importance might be perceived differently in different regions. These two subnational-level Dialogues will be followed by the final national-level Dialogue, which will be, tentatively, organized physically, in Tirana, the capital city of Albania.

The 4 thematic issues/Discussion Topics are:

1. Ensuring access to safe and nutritious food for all
2. Shifting to sustainable consumption patterns and boosting nature-positive production
3. Advancing equitable livelihoods and value distribution
4. Building resilience to vulnerabilities, shocks and stresses
