The role of youth in the transformation of food systems

This Independent dialogue provided an opportunity for young people, whose voices are rarely heard, to provide sustainable solutions to strengthen food systems at local and global scales. Participants from a multiplicity of sectors i.e. the youth, CSOs, government, private sector, farmers and academia conducted a contextual analysis of the food systems so as to suggest sustainable solutions.

The dialogue put great emphasis on investments in technological advancement to propel digitalization of agriculture but also the need to address food systems in the disaster recovery management plans since with specific attention to floods, landslides but also in the refugee communities
