Описание
Myanmar is going through a period of uncertainties, similarly to its peers, in safeguarding its food security due to climate change, ideological shifts and geo-economic powerplays. Additional socio-economic meltdown is pressing historically food secured country which has no major significant issue of availability to find urgent solutions in most of the four aspects of food security: access, availability and stability. Producers are facing multi-faceted challenges to remain operational. Consumers are finding it more and more challenging to fulfill the nutritional requirements. Service providers or enablers are struggling to identify the producers with adequate resource and appetite to deal with them. Development partners are busy attempting to overcome the regulatory and operational restrictions. Financial institutions are ordered to limit the lending operations. Remaining resilient to these complex challenges urgently requires a multi-stakeholder convening at system level to collectively find solutions.
This year, the forum aims to gather all relevant stakeholders to come under one roof to understand the challenges, to urgently find collective solutions to build resilience for tomorrow’s uncertainties under this year’s theme «Building Resilience for Uncertainties». The dialogues will be structured across the three key sub-themes: Food Safety, Climate Resilience and Nutrition. These three critical sub-themes are weaved across the program agenda through different dialogues and discussions.
