Grazing Livestock: Building Sustainable Protein Supply Chains

The Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) and Nature Conservancy Canada (NCC) announces a virtual conversation series in anticipation of the upcoming United Nations Food Systems Summit.

This dialogue, entitled Grazing Livestock: Building Sustainable Protein Supply Chains, will explore the vital role that grazing livestock play in providing both nutritious and nature positive solutions for Canada. The event is intended to bring together a diverse set of stakeholders for a bold, solutions-oriented discussion on sustainable diets. The conversation will explore best practices and challenge attendees to answer what’s next, what’s missing, how we can do better.

• Session 1: Grazing Animals: Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Production on Tuesday, April 27^th, 2021 from 1-3pm EST
• Session 2: Grazing Animals and Sustainable Consumption on Wednesday, April 28^th, 2021 from 1-3pm EST
• Session 3: Nature Meets Nutrition: Grazing Animals and Sustainable Diets  on Thursday, April 29^th, 2021 from 1-3pm EST.

The event is not public. Each session is designed to bring producers, academics, NGOs, policy makers and civil society together virtually to push the boundaries and contribute to the UN’s overarching goal of improving the food system.
