Orientation and Training opportunities

Orientation and training sessions offer support to Convenors, Curators and Facilitators. The people fulfilling these three roles are critical to the success of any Dialogue. Those supporting Convenors in their role may also attend these sessions. The greater their skills, knowledge and confidence, the further the Dialogue can go in addressing the demanding challenges of creating pathways to sustainable food systems.

At these training sessions, participants will receive an orientation to the Food Systems Summit Dialogues and the UN Food Systems Summit process. In addition to an overview about the relevant role, participants will be able to ask any questions they may have and to explore any particular challenges they are currently addressing, for example, how to ensure diversity and inclusivity amongst attendees or how to frame appropriate Discussion Topics.

Whilst the core content for each session remains the same, each event is tailored according to the needs and experience of the participants. All sessions are conducted in English unless stated otherwise. Additional preparation is required for interpreted sessions, therefore, please note that registration for these sessions will close the day prior.

There is scope to consider training in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. If you and those in your network would like to express your interest in this, please email us at [email protected]

Participants are welcome to attend training sessions as many times as they wish.
