Focus Group 1: Government support for gathering, developing and disseminating knowledge of traditional farming methods synthesized with affordable innovative modern technology leading to increased adoption by farmers.

Focus Group 2: Enhancing consumers’ awareness of nutritional quality of traditionally cultivated diverse foods and developing direct mutually beneficial farmer-to-consumer marketing channels for such produce.

Focus Group 3: Enhancing productivity of traditional cultivation methods by promoting and adopting low cost innovation using modern technology to reduce labor cost, improving soil vitality and reducing water consumption.

Focus Group 4: Improving health and safety of farmers & consumers and improving impact on the natural environment by adopting synthesized traditional and modern methods.

Desired Outcome:

1. Enhanced awareness and knowledge of initiatives, approaches and best practices around the world with respect to the topics in each focus group.
2. Recommendation to governments and UN for developing policies and programs to promote adoption of traditional farming methods enhanced with affordable modern technology solutions.
