Description
Access to a variety of markets (local, regional, national, and international) is a critical component to building a resilient farm and agriculture sector and to mitigating the impact of external shocks, vulnerabilities, and stresses. Export and domestic oriented agriculture are too often viewed independent from each other. The purpose of the Dialogue will be to explore the synergies that exist between different markets and how they can be leveraged to achieve the Food Systems action tracks. The coexistence of these different markets is not mutually exclusive and, with proper policy and guidance, can deliver various game changing socio, environmental and economic transformations. The Dialogue will provide the opportunity for various food systems actors to interact and to learn from each others point of view and to identify opportunities to grow our markets while advancing food system transformations.
