Third Sub-National Dialogue in Jamalpur

The third Sub-National Dialogue was held on 24 March 2021 in Jamalpur. National Dialogue Convener from Bangladesh and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food, Mr. Khaja Abdul Hannan was the Chief Guest of the Dialogue, whereas District Commissioner of Jamalpur was the Chair of the session. Ms. Shahnowas Dilruba Khan, Member (Joint Secretary) of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), Representative from Ministry of Food and FPMU have also participated in the Programme. In the initial session of the Dialogue, there was a key note PP presentation on the participation of Bangladesh in the UNFSS, which has been presented by Mr. Mostafa Faruq Al Banna, Associate Research Director, FPMU, Ministry of Food. After the first session, four groups have been divided in the group discussion session. Representatives from Government Agencies, Academia, NGOs, Private sectors, Food Processors, Civil Society, Youth Group and Farmers Organizations from Jamalpur have been participated in the Dialogue. Ministry of Food and BFSA have jointly organized the programe. UN-FAO and GAIN provide technical supports.
