Description
The Government of Ethiopia has a policy landscape that addresses different components of the food system and regards the United Nations Food System Summit (UNFSS) 2021 process as be an opportunity for the world to chart a positive path on food system transformation. Ethiopia plans to develop both a position paper and a technical roadmap to outline our approach to food systems transformation.
The First Ethiopian Food System Summit Dialogue will be held on March 31st and April 1st jointly by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture and will bring together delegates, speakers and panellists from UN bodies, universities and research institutes, the private sector, civil society institutions and regional authorities.
The objectives of the First Food Systems Dialogue is: (i) setting the scene on the status of the Ethiopian Food Systems and defining challenges the country faces by Action Track; (ii) defining and identifying ‘game changers’ (iii) initiating the theory of Change (ToC) based on actions identified for different components of the HPLE conceptual framework in relation to the Ethiopian Food system.
