Description
The Wyss Academy for Nature has hubs in Central Europe, East Africa, South East Asia and South America. In the context of the UN Food Systems Summit 2021, the Wyss Academy offers an independent dialogue, which consists of the following steps:
- A cross-regional dialogue developing innovative ideas and prototype solutions,
- A synthesis report summarizing the insights gained, and
- A global dialogue offering a wider group of global stakeholder the opportunity to discuss the synthesis
- A Wyss Academy Declaration which will be submitted to the UN Food Systems Summit
So far, a cross-regional dialogue has taken place where stakeholders (e.g. farmers, local politicians, sustainability activists) from the different hub regions shared innovative solutions as well as their regional challenges to harmonize food systems and nature conservation. A research team of the Wyss Academy will now process the insights gained to prepare a synthesis.
This synthesis will be shared and discussed with a broad group of stakeholders including representatives of the four hubs of the Wyss Academy during the Global Wyss Academy Dialogue on July 15. We would appreciate to discuss the insights gained so far with you and thus invite you to join this event.
Finally, the results of the whole process will be summarized in a Wyss Academy Declaration and submitted as formal feedback to the UN Food Systems Summit 2021.
