Description
Pulses have been essential to how Asia Pacific feeds itself since the first agricultural revolution. Incredibly rich in their nutritional value, pulses are small but densely packed with protein and other key nutrients. They are also great for our soils, with their nitrogen fixation properties making them ideal rotational crops. With the dawn of the plant protein revolution, pulses bring a nutritional factors and environmental benefits to complement existing ingredients. In this session we explore what has held pulses back over the years, which varieties are creating waves in the alternative protein industry and how Asia is uniquely positioned to benefit from the wider adoption of pulses. We also discuss other insights from the report on ‘Future of Pulses in Asia Pacific’ which will be released as part of the session.
The session will be hosted on 8th June at 10:15AM Singapore Time. Registered attendees will also receive a copy of the report upon release.
