Description
Food systems today face plenty of challenges. From labour issues to food waste to hunger, there is a need to make food systems more innovative, inclusive, just, and sustainable. As young people we will inherit the future food system and therefore we, youth, play a critical role in transforming food systems. Join us in engaging youth who are passionate about agriculture, nutrition, education, and other food systems matters. In this youth-led dialogue we will discuss food systems issues and how we can support youth to be agents of change in food system transformation.
On the evenings of July 13th & 15th the York Region Youth Food Committee is hosting a two-part Independent Dialogue focused on the role of youth in the food system. Youth from York Region, the Greater Toronto Region (GTA) and across Canada and the World are invited to attend. The discussions of our dialogues will focus on Food Justice and Sustainability in the food system.
