Description
As a part of the United Nations Food Systems Summit Member State Dialogues, the Jordanian Government / Ministry of Agriculture in close collaboration with the UN agencies in Jordan (The UN Resident Coordinator Office, WFP, FAO and ESCWA ) is organizing in person the national dialogue on 7th July 2021, to offer a forum for stakeholders to discuss and express their views on different aspects of the transition to more efficient and sustainable food systems in light of crises and contribute to the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit. Stakeholders from all sectors such as public, private, UN agencies, NGO’s, youth, suppliers, producers, distributors, traders, consumers and academia are invited to attend this exciting event. Participants will be divided into groups to focus their debates on the following themes:
- Refugees and Food Systems
- Water scarcity and food systems
- Coronavirus and food systems
- The poor, small farmers and food systems
- Price fluctuations and food systems
