Description
Act4Food Act4Change Youth Pledge Food Literacy Challenge (青年志愿行动 in Mandarin) is the first attempt in China to engage college students to participate in food systems tranformating by educating them with the fundamental knowledge such as “what the food system is”, “what the current food systems-related problems are”, “what actions of change can we take”.
This challenge is also a great opportunity to listen to what the students have to say about the 17 “Actions for Change” introduced by Act4Food Act4Change campagin in China and which actions are the most important one to Chinese youth.
We hope to widely mobilize the youth advocates to encourage other young people to adopt a healthy diet from sustainable food systems, while improving animal welfare, reducing food loss and waste, supporting nature-positive agricultural practices, protecting biodiversity, and promoting food education, which can maximize the transformation of the food system.
