Description
As we close the UN Food Systems Summit 2021, we would like to continue the momentum of these important topics for the society and the planet. We believe that the engagement from multiple stakeholders on a regional and country level is essential.
This forum aims to discuss the most crucial agenda of the food systems for Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Singapore. This series of Independent Dialogue will examine:
- General Overview
- Food Waste
- Positive Nutrition (Malaysia and Singapore)
- Plant-based Foods
- Sustainable Sourcing
Improving nutrition has been the core of global development and is also the key to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Individuals have different perceptions on the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ nutrients, which may have potentially shaped the way they select and consume food. Meanwhile, the pandemic has created in new trends and consumption patterns.
Panelists from different sectors have been invited to share their viewpoints on improving the accessibility of nutritious food for the consumers in Malaysia.
