Description
This independent Dialogue will directly contribute to the discussions of the UNFSS Action track 3: Boost nature-positive production at scale.
Regenerative agriculture is an increasingly prominent topic of discussion as it provides opportunities and solutions for many of the economic, social, environmental and climatic challenges facing agriculture and our food system today. This Food Systems Summit Dialogue aims to explore – through a series of discussion groups – the key questions on how to broaden the appeal of regenerative agriculture and accelerate the transition both in Europe and globally.
Each of the six discussion groups will focus on one particular aspect related to the mainstreaming of regenerative agriculture:
- Defining and aligning key principles and practices
- Inspiring interest and overcoming barriers for farmers
- Adoption and scaling with the food value chain
- Accelerating change with policy and governance
- Defining, monitoring and centralizing results to drive change
- Building social awareness and public support
There will be up to 70 participants involved in the event ranging from farmers and farming organisations, policymakers, members of the agri-food sector, academics, think tanks and youth representatives. With such a wide and diverse group of stakeholders, we look forward to a fruitful discussion with insightful outcomes.
While this is a closed and private event, it will be recorded and made publicly available afterwards. For further information or any enquiries, please contact [email protected]
