Description
The United Nations is convening a Food Systems Summit later this year as part of its “Decade of Action” to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The Summit is intended to launch bold new actions to transform the way the world produces and consumes food and deliver progress on all 17 of the SDGs. Independent Dialogue events offer opportunities to contribute to the Summit by engaging directly in proposing pathways towards sustainable food systems, exploring new ways of working together and encouraging collaborative action.
On April 8, stakeholders across the U.S. animal agriculture community will gather for an Independent Dialogue in order to engage meaningfully, explore collectively and emerge resiliently for sustainable food systems. Participants will consider animal agriculture’s role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and ability to be a “game changer” in delivering progress across all five Action Tracks of the Food Systems Summit.
A keynote address will be offered by internationally recognized food futurist and speaker Jack Bobo.
This event is invitation only.
