Description
- How are climate shocks, droughts and floods affecting food production, distribution and access to water around the world?
- What are some good practices for improving access to water and food that can be scaled up?
- What innovative solutions are emerging for building resilience in agriculture?
This session in UN DESA’s Global Policy Dialogue Series, co-organized by FAO and WFP with the support of UN-Water for World Water Day, will look at how climate change is affecting people’s access to water for sufficient, safe and nutritious food. Experts including farmers, entrepreneurs, and civil society representatives will bring forward ideas to improve agricultural resilience and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Cross-cutting issues such as financing, governance, gender, energy, data and statistics also will be part of the discussion.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held in English with live captioning available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. All are welcome!
